Briefing → Jira Ticket Claude Skill
A custom Claude Skill that turns chaotic client messages and voice transcripts into clean Linear or Jira engineering tickets.
I want Claude to read a messy client briefing (like an audio transcript or a chaotic message) and convert it into a highly structured Linear or Jira engineering ticket. The skill should extract the real problem and format it perfectly with Title, Priority, Type, Description, Steps to Reproduce, and Acceptance Criteria. If the client mentions multiple unrelated things, focus the main ticket on the critical issue and put the rest in a 'Notes' section. I've attached a sample messy briefing and the ideal ticket output for reference.
Prompts give you a different format every day. Skills don't. A skill is a reusable manual that Claude loads automatically whenever the task matches, so every messy briefing becomes the same clean ticket.
Option A: install the finished skill
- Download the
.zipfrom the sidebar. - In Claude, go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload it.
- Paste any chaotic client message and say "make a ticket from this".
Option B: build it yourself (like in the video)
- Download the two example files from the sidebar.
- In Claude, ask the skill creator to build a new skill, paste the prompt above and attach both files.
- Review the generated skill and save it.
Output format
Every ticket comes out with Title, Priority, Type, Description, Steps to Reproduce, Acceptance Criteria and a Notes section for scope creep.
